Need to know - A common vision

Further to the discussions among PSA’s partners all along the project’s timeline and notably at the meeting in May 2022 in Ljubljana, a common vision appeared for the development and the future of the PaintingSkillsAcademy. This last is more and more seen as a European “House” for Life-Long Learning, Career Pathways and Securing Skilled Workforce in the Painting trade.

Building up the PSA House, a “Library” (of past projects in the trade) will be located in the “Basement” while different “Rooms” will represent the opportunities provided, like qualification standards and offers at different level (courses, tutorials, workshops), the innovation in the sector like new techniques, applied technologies, Virtual and Augmented reality, and finally the marketing supported by the Ambassadors of the PSA idea.

The PSA House, addressed to a variety of people, will benefit young individuals who want to start education, apprentices wanting to learn from other countries, skilled workers but without formal qualification, educational providers who wish to teach EU certified standards, companies needing to work with qualified people, etc.

As a whole, the “House” of the Painters is intended to give transparency and availability of PSA training offers, to commit on PSA standards to ensure EU mobility, to gather a wide number of VET institutes and to create PSA certificates issued by Uniep as a basis for recognition procedures.
